Since 1964, the BCSLA has been the regulatory body for landscape architecture in BC under the Architects (Landscape) Act. The BCSLA is dedicated to upholding public health, safety and welfare as it relates to the professional practice of landscape architecture. BCSLA members are leaders in the planning, design, development, preservation, protection, restoration, reclamation, rehabilitation, enhancement and management of both natural and built environments in education and public and private practice.
The BCSLA offices are located on unceded Coast Salish territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations. We recognize and respect the history, languages, and cultures of the First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and all First Peoples of Canada, whose presence continues to enrich our organization, our lives and our country.
