The Singapore Index, also known as the City Biodiversity Index, serves as a self-assessment tool for cities to benchmark and monitor the progress of their biodiversity conservation efforts against their own individual baselines. It comprises two parts: first, the "profile of the City' provides background information on the city; and the second, 23 indicators that measure native biodiversity in the city, ecosystem services provided by biodiversity, and governance and management of biodiversity. The manual includes the index and guidance on its use. Published July 2014.
